ASHLEY MCREE

Owner

Ashley’s love for hair started early. Back in high school, she was the friend always begging to “experiment” on someone’s hair — and luckily, her friends let her! That creative curiosity quickly turned into a lifelong passion.

After earning her associate degree in Business from Columbia State Community College and spending some time in retail management, Ashley realized her heart truly belonged behind the chair. She joined Heads Up Salon Green Hills as a receptionist while attending cosmetology school, soaking up everything she could about the industry she loved.

After graduation, Ashley became co-manager of one of Nashville’s busiest salons — and by 2018, she proudly took full ownership of Heads Up Salon Green Hills. With the help of her amazing team (who she lovingly calls her work family), Ashley continues to build a salon that values creativity, teamwork, and genuine connection.

Heads Up Salon Green Hills is one of the few locally owned small businesses still thriving in Green Hills — a fact Ashley holds close to her heart.

When she’s not at the salon, you can find her spending time with her husband, Deven, and their fun-loving seven-year-old son, Bridger — usually chasing adventures, laughter, and maybe a little hair inspiration along the way.

KEELY FUTRELL

Master Stylist

Keely is a seasoned stylist with over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry. Throughout her career, she has honed her skills as a master of both cutting and color, creating looks that enhance her clients’ natural beauty and confidence.

“I believe when you look your best, you feel your best,” Keely says. “Helping someone feel beautiful and confident is what makes this career so rewarding for me.”

Her passion, expertise, and genuine care for her clients shine through in every appointment.

TORI DIVITO

Master Stylist

Tori is a proud Detroit native who found her home in Nashville 25 years ago. Her journey in the beauty industry began as a makeup artist, where she discovered her passion for helping people look and feel their best.

14 years ago, Tori expanded her craft into hairstyling—and she’s never looked back. “I absolutely love what I do,” she says. Her enthusiasm, creativity, and genuine connection with clients shine through in every service she provides.

KRYSTINE STOCKMAN

Master Stylist

Krystine has been a valued member of the Heads Up Salon family for over six years. She’s passionate about all things color and styling, and takes pride in perfecting each haircut and color to bring her clients’ visions to life. Her greatest reward is seeing her clients leave the chair feeling confident and refreshed. Outside the salon, Krystine enjoys painting, traveling, and exploring her love for great food.

LEM LEM ASMELASH

Master Stylist

Lem Lem is a true gem whose entire career has been with Heads Up Salon. After many years at the Elliston location, she’s now bringing her talent and friendly spirit to Green Hills. With 29 years of experience, Lem Lem specializes in precision cutting and delivers beautiful, tailored results every time. Her welcoming smile and genuine care ensure you’ll be eager to book your next appointment before you even leave the chair.

SARAH PRICE

Stylist

Sarah brings 10 years of experience behind the chair and has built a reputation as a versatile stylist who celebrates individuality. She specializes in both natural and unconventional styles — from razor cuts and dimensional blonding to lived-in vivids and effortless wash-and-wear looks. Sarah believes every client deserves a style that reflects their unique personality and lifestyle.

Outside the salon, she channels her creativity into crocheting, sewing, and baking, and loves to unwind with a good spooky movie marathon. Come see Sarah for a fresh new look and a fun, memorable experience in the chair!

TAMATHA LITMAN

Master Stylist

Tamatha began her journey in the salon industry right here at Heads Up over 30 years ago. Starting as a receptionist, she quickly discovered her passion for the art of hair design and knew she belonged behind the chair. A graduate of The Hair School of Nashville, Tamatha holds certifications in both cutting and coloring.

Her diverse clientele includes men and women of all ages, and she takes pride in creating styles that reflect each person’s individuality. Tamatha believes that everyone deserves to look and feel their best, approaching every service with care and attention to each client’s unique hair and personality. As she says, “I truly love my job and love to watch my clients leave my chair happy and confident in their appearance.”

BARBARA MATTOX

Master Stylist

Barbara has been passionate about hair since she was 18. Over the years, she has honed her craft in several of Nashville’s top salons and is thrilled to return to the Green Hills area after her time in West End. Barbara specializes in precision haircuts and brings meticulous attention to detail in her color work. She’s especially skilled in working with hair that can be a challenge—whether it’s thick, fine, curly, or hard to manage—creating styles that are both flattering and easy to maintain. Known for her beautiful, natural-looking perms, Barbara’s warm personality and dedication to her clients ensure every guest leaves feeling confident and refreshed.

THOMAS FEASEL

Master Stylist

Thomas is a Master Stylist and Barber with over 33 years of experience behind the chair. Known for his exceptional barbering techniques and precision cuts, he brings artistry and creativity to every service—whether it’s a men’s or women’s cut, color, or complete transformation.

Thomas is especially passionate about makeovers and enjoys using his eye for detail to craft fresh, personalized styles. From elegant updos for formal occasions to expertly groomed beard trims and modern barbered looks, his work reflects both skill and imagination.

DESIRAE COCHRAN

Master Stylist

Desirae is a Master Stylist with over 30 years of experience and a true passion for her craft. Specializing in precision cuts and expert color, she combines technical skill with an eye for detail to create beautifully tailored looks for every client.

Dedicated to staying current, Desirae continually pursues advanced education to keep her techniques and product knowledge up to date. Known for her patience and care, she takes the time to ensure every guest leaves her chair feeling confident and completely satisfied.

OLENA SAMOKHINA

Master Stylist

Olena has called Nashville home for the past 22 years and has been passionate about hair for over a decade. She honed her craft at a beauty and barber school in Mt. Juliet, specializing in precision haircuts and vibrant color. Olena is dedicated to helping each client feel confident, refreshed, and on-trend.

TOM ROMINES

Master Stylist

Tom is a Master Barber with over 35 years of experience — all proudly spent at Heads Up. Known for his precision and attention to detail, he specializes in men’s cuts and takes great pride in ensuring every client leaves looking sharp and confident. Outside the salon, Tom enjoys playing the piano and spending time with a good book, bringing the same focus and artistry to his hobbies as he does to his craft.

EMIL ISMAILOV

Master Stylist

Emil earned his cosmetology license from the University of Cosmetology in Nashville, TN, and brings over 30 years of experience as a Master Stylist. His extensive expertise and commitment to his craft ensure every client receives exceptional care and results.

JOSE RIVERA

Master Stylist

Jose is a Master Stylist with over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry. For the past decade, he has specialized in men’s cuts, combining precision and style to create looks that make his clients feel confident and sharp. Jose takes pride in tailoring each cut to suit individual personalities, ensuring every client leaves looking—and feeling—their best.

JP THOMAS

Master Stylist

JP is a Master Stylist with over 30 years of experience, including 8 years on music row working with some of the industry's best. Skilled with a wide range of hair lengths and color techniques, he has a particular passion for short- to mid-length cuts and color formulation, where his attention to detail really shines. Known for his outgoing yet professional personality, it's rare that JP meets a stranger. He's a natural at making clients feel at ease while building confidence through personal style. Above all, JP is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and making every visit a positive experience.

MARY UNDERWOOD

Salon Operations Manager

Mary was born in West Virginia and made Kingston Springs home in March 2022, joining the Heads Up Salon Family shortly after. With a background in culinary school and a love for creating, whether in the kitchen or at the front desk, Mary brings warmth, organization, and genuine care to everything she does.

Married to her doting husband since 2022, she enjoys spending her downtime with her fur babies, Crash and Kikka, reading, and experimenting with new recipes. Known for remembering everyone's name, Mary is often the friendly face that makes clients feel instantly at home.

CHLOE WOODARD

Guest Experience Coordinator

Chloe graduated from Creekwood High School and began her journey at Heads Up Salon in May 2025. She's pursuing a career in hairstyling because she loves the confidence and happiness clients feel after a great hair day. In her free time, you'll find her binge-watching TV shows, going out to eat, and enjoying the special moments of new motherhood with her baby girl, Charlotte.

BRANDI MURRAY

Guest Experience Coordinator

Brandi was born and raised in Nashville and loves spending her free time reading, traveling, and camping with her family. She's married with three kids who are her entire world outside of work.

After many different jobs, being behind the receptionist desk at Heads Up has been her favorite. Brandi loves connecting with both clients and stylists and finds joy in helping make someone's day better, even if it's simply getting them the appointment they were hoping for. Known for her energy (you'll never see her sitting down), Brandi brings warmth and heart to the salon every day. 

LACEY WILSON-ROSS

Guest Experience Coordinator

Lacey was born and raised in Detroit, MI. She loves reading, thrifting, taking long walks, and spending time with her friends and brother. After more than two years in customer service, she's found that she loves being in the salon environment. Lacey loves helping people and encouraging them, and she looks forward to making every guest feel welcome!
